Name:
Gavin Alward
Age:
26
Height:
6'0"
Sex:
Male
Hair:
A chic silver, artfully messy and covering one eye.
Eyes:
Cool blue
Occupation:
Manager at Farmhands
Personality:
Gavin is free spirited and impulsive, with more than a few problems around emotional regulation. He wouldn't call himself ambitious, exactly, but more money means a better life, and he pushes himself to keep pace with Tristan and Eliza, who are both high achievers actively climbing the corporate ladder with their talents and leadership skills. Gavin can't organize like Eliza, and his eye for art isn't enough to have him lead the graphic design division like Tristan, but what Gavin does have is the charisma to liaise with c-suite and entry level workers alike, balance their differences, and come out looking like a managerial genius. If he'd stayed home, he'd probably be training as area manager, or larger. Instead, he's starting out at a new store in a new town.
Gavin's never believed much in 'waiting' for your soulmate, but he's quite hopeful that the soulmate spark will change him? Help him? He hasn't actually thought about why he wants a soulmate, besides a replacement for the only home he's ever known. He's fiercely loyal and sentimental, with a reckless streak balanced out by age and his many many regrets.
History:
Gavin's never been in love, not really. There was only one person in his life who he really gave a fuck about, and that was his best friend, Tristan.
And then Tristan met his soulmate, Eliza.
And so then there were two people Gavin really cared about.
... cared about too much?
Gavin's used to leaving destruction in his wake. He tore his family apart when he was a teenager, and even though he's okay, Gavin was kicked out for his troubles. The older he gets, the more he agrees with that course of action. He got a lot worse before he got better.
And he only got better because of Tristan, so when he started to get to know her, how she understood him like no other, how she'd be the perfect wife, he did the only reasonable thing: begged for a transfer and moved halfway across the country.
She's not meant for him, and now his clock is ticking down. Maybe, once he's bonded, he can reach out again and try to save the best friendship he's ever had.
