Amos's escape attempt was abruptly cut short as the girl stopped in the doorway. Though she was quite small, and really not that threatening from an outside view, he didn't particularly want to get within arm's reach of her.
And there she was again with the goading comments. He narrowed his eyes at her. "Go away," he said a bit lamely. He was not in the mood to deal with this, and it was clear she just wanted to make him mad. He wouldn't let her this time.
Instead, he turned to look at Myut with something like an entreating look on his face, as if to say 'please do something about her.'

Meu had been very perplexed at the initial reaction of Amos who had grabbed his wrist to stop him from writing anything more only to abandon it the instant contact was made. What had that been for? Was the guard nervous that Bez would get a glimpse of the list? Ah, was he thinking that perhaps if they stopped writing it would no longer present a temptation for Bez to investigate? Perhaps the mouse was just trying to be discreet. In any case, it was far too late for any hope to allay Bezabelle from the situation. But that touch meant Amos wasn’t averse to a little contact then, right? Good. That put to rest his earlier concerns of having gotten too close for comfort for the little guard.
Bezabelle stood proud and unabashed despite the Greed’s admonishment, disregarding it completely as she made a flirtatious pass at Amos, who, at that point, had given an expectant glance between Meu and the door. Mew understood, trying to distract Bezabelle with an outstretched arm, attempting to beckon her to his side with the fruit of his touch. Of course, it would not be so easy to get rid of her. Her focus was lasered in like a hawk on Amos, and as the blonde had tried to make a bolt for it, she shifted her position to block defensively in front of the door.
She was merciless. That wagging tongue of hers was off to the races again and this time she was going straight for blood. Bringing up the guard’s family again, which had clearly set him off earlier, had Myut abruptly rising from his chair with bated breath and a disapproving frown. He didn’t want sparks to fly, so he was just about to step in when Amos surprisingly ignored the comment, insisting simply that Bez leave.
While Meu admired the tenacity, that was hardly going to stop Bez. Amos turned suddenly to look at him then, with an almost pleading gaze in regard to the Gluttony at hand.
Well Mew could hardly say no, especially when the little Pride was so clearly asking for his help.
Thus the white-haired demon suddenly closed the distance between he and the lass, plucking her from the doorway into his grasp with a loud ‘tsk’ and hauling her out of the way for Amos, taking three steps away from the door and toward the bed.

Amos was quick to bolt, the moment Myut freed his path, Amos was out the doorway, making a beeline for the main door. He hesitated, however, as soon as he got there, patting his breast pocket as he realized that he'd forgotten the whole reason he was still here. The paper.
Damn it all.
The blonde turned, staring back at the doorway to Myut's room. He didn't want to go back in there, not with Bezabelle lurking within. Would he just have to wait and come back for it later?

With a squirmy Bezabelle grasped ironclad in one arm, Meu listened as Amos made a break for it – the guard’s footsteps pattering loudly on the floor as he made his speedy getaway. There was a mixed expression on the Greed’s face, somewhere between sternly cross and relieved. It was mostly stern. He unceremoniously dropped Bez onto his mattress, hands quickly finding their way onto his hips as he squinted down at her. “Bezzabelle, you-“ he began, but was suddenly cut off by said Gluttony piping up with a teasing call through the door to Amos that he had forgotten the very thing he had come here for in the first place. The tirade he had intended to go on against Bez had instantly died on his lips at this revelation, to which he whirled around to confirm her words. A small groan escaped his mouth as he spotted the paper laying all lonesome upon his desk. What a pain it would be to have to organize yet another meeting with Amos. It was already difficult enough trying to dance around the others when they weren’t all out and about. Who knew if this same opportunity would present itself again any time soon. Was Amos already gone? Would it be worth it to check?
Unfortunately, before he could get very far with that thought, Bezabelle was suddenly trying to wiggle off the mattress to go bring the note out to Amos, and Meu absolutely could not have that. “Oh nonono no, no you don’t!” He exclaimed, hands grabbing at arms and shoulders to push the little lass back down. “You’re staying right there,” he began, holding Bezzie down with one large hand as he conjured with the other. He grabbed her around both wrists, making do with what he could in the little time he had – and tied Bez tightly against the bed post with a length of Greed-magic rope.
“Stay.” He ordered, as though Bez had much say in the matter now. It was more like giving a command to a naughty pet.
Turning on his heel, Myut strode over to the table to grab the paper, crumpling it in his haste to run out the door on the off chance that their guard was still there.
Fortunately for Mew, Amos had seemed to come to the same realization before he had left. The blonde was turned looking back toward the bedroom, of which Meu had just burst out from. Not knowing how long the rope might hold Bezabelle, he had spurred himself on a little too quickly and overestimated the speed-to-distance ratio between the two of them.
So, instead of coming to a gradual halt like any normal person would, Myut had to suddenly put the brakes on before he ran straight into Amos. In order to steady himself, he grabbed ahold of Amos’ waist to finally come to a stop. Mew looked a bit in disarray at that point, breathing heavily under the sudden and unexpected exertion. “Ah, sorry about that.” He began, swiftly dropping one hand and lifting the other up to offer the paper to Amos. “Was nearly in vain.” The white-haired demon gave a lopsided, fanged grin in the hopes that it would allay any awkward tension the other might be feeling from the sudden onslaught.
Myut gave the paper over to Amos, but before fully releasing it to the other’s grasp, he tightened his grip for a moment to lean in and murmur into the boy’s ear, all playfulness dropped in his voice as he spoke with a gentle seriousness, “Also, I hope you know that I wouldn’t kiss you unless you wanted me to.” He was referring to Bez’s taunt that he had been planning on making some sort of surprise move on the poor guard.

Amos was, as one might say, a bit startled when a pale-headed figure zipped out of the doorway he was currently looking at. He was relieved for a bare moment, but then he noted that the greed demon wasn't slowing down in his approach. There was not time to react. Amos gasped softly as he was whipped around by a strong arm around his middle, and suddenly he was nose to nose with an out of breath demon whose pale green eyes were fixed right on him. He didn't even have time to splutter before the other casually apologized, letting him go and pulling out the now crinkled piece of paper.
Well, that was alright, then.
Amos pinkened slightly at the lopsided grin, taking the note. "Thank you," he said, his voice getting caught in his throat slightly. He cleared it, averting his eyes. "I appreciate your dillegence," he added a bit stiffly. The greed demon did not relinquish the paper, however, and only leaned closer, his voice dropping into something low and serious. "That's not--" Amos stammered, his face turning a new shade of red, "it"s..." he couldn't get any words out, so he hastily cleared his throat again. "Thank you. Goodbye," he said with a hurried formality, then quickly plucked the paper from the other demon's hand and, with all the harried speed of a prey animal, he made his exit.
